Anna Diane

Anna Diané is a third-year PhD student at Duke's School of Nursing. She graduated with her BSN from Boston College and, after experience as an Epic trainer, she began her clinical career in the Liver ICU at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. Returning to her interest of nursing informatics, Anna went on to work as clinical informatics analyst for NYU Medical Center in 2015, where she was able to witness the lack of utilization of data and digital health innovations to inform clinical practice. Anna's clinical experience, coupled with her nursing informatics experience, has inspired her to become a patient advocate through informatics and health technologies. Anna's current research interests include empowering minority and disadvantaged patients with chronic illness through mobile health technologies.
